Ways to get the most benefit out of ur petrol.

Due to the recent USA and Iran event. The price of the petrol is touching $73 US dollar.

1. Pumping petrol in the morning.

When u pump petrol, u could smell the petrol. This is because the petrol is vaporizing. The more petrol is vaporise, the lesser petrol in ur car oil tank. Petrol is very easy to vaporise, pumping petrol in a hot weather is not recommended, because u wont get most petrol out of what u pay for. The tempeture in the morning is normally colder than afternoon. colder environment = lesser petrol vaporise. So it would be wiser to pump ur petrol in the morning.

2. Pumping petrol at a slower rate.

As what has explained , when u pump petrol, there are some petrol vaporise. Pumping petrol in a slower rate can reduce this also. Take an example, when u pour hot water very fast into a cup, u will see a lot of water vapor come out, but when u pour at a slower rate, u get lesser water vapor. So pump ur petrol at a slower rate.

3. Do not carry unecessary items in ur car.

If u watch formula 1, weight is one of the important factor to determine how fast and fuel efficient ur car can run. Extra items = extra weight for ur car = extra fuel consumption.

4. Do not pump petrol when ur tank is not empty.

Normally a car has a fuel tank that is capable to contain 60~80litre of petrol. Every litre of petrol carries a weigth. Weight affects ur fuel consumption as explained earlier. I do come into many situations where people like to refill petrol even their car still have 20 to 50% petrol left.

point 1 and 2 seems acceptable but point 3 really depends on situation. imagine what happens when you're in the middle of nowhere and there's no petrol station around and your petrol is running out??!!!

so leaving your fuel tank almost empty before refueling isn't always a wise choice.

Dear eng...I am sure u can estimate how far ur car can drive with that amount of fuel u have right?
