Dr M & his Raven Beak
Recently there have been lot of critics about DR. M, he has been making a lot of complaints & noise to our leader.
Issues include the AP thing, Sing@pore C@useway bridge ..etc. Water issue with Sing@pore.
APing? This thing has been with us for sometime. It is not until our Raven beak disclose the issue, and the person in charge is our RFD.(yeah RFD = Radio Frequency Device) She sent her crying signal to the whole nation telling everyone that she is innocent. RFD may sounds like innocent, but in between I do believe the must be some corruption partnership problem between RFD, Raven and a company named Na'$'a who is a major player in this AP thing.
The Sing@pore c@useway bridge was built for the benefit of both M@laysian and Sing@porean. The traffic is increasing every year, but I still think is good enough to support the traffic, the problem is very obvious, the immigrant toll is bottlenecking the whole traffic flow. That is why our gov continue to build the immigrant toll. So why the fuss our "Raven" is making so much noise? Becos without building the bridge u have 1 less chance to do corruption. The larger the project the more money u can corrupt. The more project u commit, the more money u can corrupt. May be this is the reason our PM cancel the bridge, becos he think it is not fisible to build the bridge , and someone is making noise becos he lost his chance to corrupt? :P
Regarding the water issue, it is a contract. U cant change much, whether or not the water price is too cheap. It is still a contract. You have agreed to sell at that price until the contract end. if u want to breach the contract, then u have to pay for the penalty.
I may not have my chance to vote my leader in the last time, but the next one I will definately vote for opposition and I will keep voting for opposition until I get my best leader.
Conclusion...
People tend to blame/point finger on other people first instead of themselves. Some of them even have racial issue towards others. But when their own people did something wrong, they seems to have lesser complaints.

for the bridge issue, we couldnt know what is the real story behind it...
We are going to cancel the project, but our government still have to pay for the "HIGH" penalty...if not mistaken i think is 30% out of the project cost...of course it is still under discussion la..
the water issue, although it is under the contract. Our government tend to increase the price for the next contract, but not now...
It said the price is set in the agreement since last time, but it did stated "it is reasonable to raise the price in future due to the inflation..."
We will not get the solid prove from all these issue, it is completely cover up by the people who hold the "Power".
It is unreasonable the penalty to cost about 70% of the building cost. Again it is 70% of the building cost. Not 30%. The discussion on this issue is unnecessary. Someone incharge must be blind enough to sign such a contruction contract that is very unfair to the gov side, OR he is part of the corruption team. Many developers like to tender gov project, because it is guarranted that u'll get ur money when u complete a project and gov project as big as the scenic bridge earn big bucks. From this point of view, as a gov body, I have the advantage to choose the developer I want.
According to my knowledge the 2 contracts is valid until 2011 & 2061 respectively. In my opinion, under the contract we still have to sell water to to our neighbour on the agreed price until 2061. Our local economy scale & standard of living will be very much diff after 54 years. So why worry now? Our son will probably handle it for us on the contract renewal. AND in the contracts they can only buy the maximum agreed amount of water bind under the contracts. So we will not lose more money even if our friend's water consumption go up.
The price WAS set in the agreement LAST TIME, it will be there until the contracts end. And which statement in the contract state that there is a review on price agreement?
about the bridge: I find it ridiculous for the gov to let the developer begin construction when the whole negotiation with the Sg gov is still underway. in the end, a large amount of compensation had to be paid (using our tax payers money). more over, there was no open tender. so I guess we are all aware why... and it's time our PM put a stop to all those practise.
on the water issue: I guess the only person to blame are those involved in the contract negotiation. the current selling price of water to Sg. was a good price then but it's way too low now. how come price increase and inflation was never taken into consideration. only our 'smart' leaders know why.
and I guess it's the same old story on the APs.
Think again, if the contruction dont start, someone will not get his "money". :P
