TNB : So much for a Tariff Hike.

Sat May 27 2006,

I was struggling myself because I am suffering for having stomach pain. ~11a.m-12pm I was still sleeping in my room. All my ankles was pain and my stomach was....arghh. I cant move much, I think sleeping is the best solution to keep myself away from all these suffering. I was like a lazy pig sleeping on my bed. All of the sudden, my fan has stop spinning, I was too tired didnt bother naything else. My room gets hotter, hotter and hotter. I cant sleep anymore, wake up, walked down stairs 2 check whats going on. Heck! There was no power supply!

~1.25pm still no power supply
Checked with neighboors to confirm it. My TV show "the making of X3 :The Last Stand" will start soon (1.30pm) . X-men series is one of my favourite fantasy/sci-fi movie after Lord of the RING and Star wars.

3.45pm
I was told by neighboors that the power will be up earliest by 5 to 6pm. The given reason from TNB is "Oversupply".

5pm still no sign..
boring nothing to do... no PC, no "internets", no Tv..................cannot go out becos i am sick.

7pm
we checked with our neighboors, all of them have eletricity except my house. So we wondered what was going wrong with our house.

Finally we had discovered that a sudden surge from TNB power supply had burned our main fuse. Call up our eletrical wireman to fix the problem for us. (TNB is not gonna care about u if it is only 1 house affected) *ahem my F1 qualifying will be start at 8pm. T_T

8.45pm. Finally I can switch on my Tv to watch my F1 qualifying.

It is justifiable that oil price hike may plummet ur profit. But that doesnt mean that u keep ur old equipment or use . All these are the basic requirements that need to keep our citizen happy & safety. (U owe me one main fuse), and the given reason "oversupply" doesnt make sense. If the max-allowed-input of every houses is XXX kw/h then ur sub station must be able to support every house using the max-allowed kw/h @ the same time. In engeneering concept, u always design things that is more capable than it supporting.

Example, the Penang bridge that was built decades ago is design to serve only 2 lanes of road, but its engineered to be able to support 3 lanes of road.

This rule is to over come the wear and tear. Machine tend to not in 100% working condition as they age.

KTM : Dead Again!

Tuesday 23rd May 2006,

It is another Tuesday. Was going back to home by KTM, then I saw a lot of people stand outside the KTM Bank Negara station. I walked over to talk a look. Heck it was another break down, and it is exactly 1 week after the last incident. I went up and ask the KTM officer whats going on to the KTM. He told me, there is something going wrong with the KTM power line. (the same thing happened last week, power supply offline).

Well I have not buy any ticket yet, I maked a quick decision for not wanting to wait for the KTM techicians to fix the problem. I walked to Sogo, take a cab & went back to home. :P During my journey to home. I saw another KTM stuck in the middle of nowhere. Door opened, (hehe) no passenger inside. (hmmm) I think the passengers have to walk on the rail road back the nearest station. (Ohhh my...What an "experience", why I'm not "lucky" enough to get that chance)
Thank goodness, this is my second time experiencing KTM stuck at Bank Negara station. I am lucky enough for not geting stuck in the middle of rail road. :P

This time I suspect it is the KTM fault. I think they didn't fix the cable properly last week. I guess the KTM techicians was rushing themselves to fix the cable b4 daylight (last week Tuesday).

Conclusion...

If u push the technicians, u end up screwing him up, because there is no in-deept checking, testing, optimizing done after the cable is deployed. u will lose more money in the end if a disaster come again. So please dont push the technicians. If u want to get ur things done earlier, please send in more human resources and have a good team leader to organize the bigger team.

KTM : The Giant Sauna

Tuesday 16, May 2006.

It was a normal Tuesday; I was going back to home (from work) by taking LRT then interchange to KTM at Bank Negara Station.

As usual it is very pack during peak hours; everyone is taking KTM back to home.

Looking at the KTM time board.
My train should be here by 6.14pm

6.16pm No KTM. - more people coming.

KTM reschedule the train departure time to 6.28pm.
6.35pm Still no train.
more and more people coming

reschedule: 6.42pm

6.44pm No sign of KTM yet
Now at the train station, you have no place to stand anymore, u have to stand inside the yellow line. But luckily I found a nice spot, it is far away from the yellow line. Why I stand so far? It is because I know it is nearly impossible for me to sqeeze myself into KTM, else I will become Sardine if I want to. (judging by the amount of passengers that are waiting for the KTM)

Train arrived at 6.48pm. Finally!
But I will not ride this one....... Sardineeeeee....

waited for the next KTM
6.55 pm Second KTM arrived
This second KTM is just arrived 5 minutes late than the previous one.

This time I was able to got myself into the train
Then KTM door is closing. But all of sudden, the entire KTM went offline. It seems the power supply has been cut off entirely. There was no air-cond, no lights, and the door cannot be open.

It is getting hotter , hotter and hottter inside here. Now it is a real cooked Sardine -_-|| or I should say I'm stuck inside a big "mobile Sauna"

Everybody was complaining it was very hot inside here, and everyone of us want to get out from here. There were 3 indian youngsters trying to open the door manually. There is a emergency door handle beside the door. I'm thinking to break the glass and use that emergency handle to open the door. (why dont u guys use that emergency handle?) but then they were able to use brute force to open that door. So I change my mind, I do not need to use the emergency handle anymore.

Door opened...

Got myself out from the train back to the station. Luckily I didnt take the first train, otherwise I will be stuck in the middle of nowhere. :P I quicky made my decision for not waiting for KTM busses, or waiting them to restore the system. Judging by KTM went offline completely at the station, I think it is not possible for them to fix the problem within 2 hours. Went to ticket counter and redeem my ticket for tommorrow. Head to the bus station near Sogo. At first I decide to take bus, but there werent any bus to my place. (Kepong). I decide not to wait at all, because I could be end up reaching home by 9pm if I want to wait for a Kepong bus.

So I choose to take the Taxi, and reach my home by 8pm. :)

Grantmama's Birthday! ^_^

Last Saturday 29th April,

It was one happy Saturday, my family and I celebrate birthday with my Grand mama. She had turned to 70 (Age 71 for Chinese age). According to my mom, Chinese culture celebrates their big birthday with their old ones every 10 years. For grandma, it goes like every 61,71, 81 Chinese age. For grandpa, it follows like 60,70,80 Chinese age. Hmmm I didn’t know Chinese have this culture. I’m a modern man. I fail in this area. T_T

My grandma wish to have a vegetarian meal in a restaurant for her birthday (she is not a vegetarian), but she requested my mom to take her to have a nice vegetarian meal. (Since my family is a vegetarian family, we do have some experience in this “field” :-P) We had booked 2 tables for 24 persons @ 7pm, but we have to come a bit early @ 6:45pm because we are the ones to decide the meal.

7pm……

my second uncle and his family came…

wait…

wait …

7.15pm

The impatient Billy couldn’t wait anymore. He decides to take a walk around the shops near the vegetarian restaurant. From Point A to Point B to back to Point A again….

7.25pm

Back to vegetarian restaurant…..

Thank goodness everybody including my grandpa & grandma has arrived, except my youngest uncle and his family

7.30pm

Not yet come…

Burp…..burrrrrp….my stomach……*ouch…I am very hungry >_>

7.45pm….

Still same…

7:50pm…..Oh yeah finally they had came!.....My stomach….burrpp.. arggghhhh! &%#!! Are u trying to make Billy Da GREAT starve till death? >:-(

Everybody is here already…and we can start having our meal soon. Oh Finally…..my stomach! *ouch! We ordered fried rice, 2 kind of Taufu, Taukeh, some other special kind of artificial food and what ever that I don’t know what it is. (I’m not the one who order the dishes)

And then here comes my favorite Taufu…I was thinking to finish what I have in my bowl first, b4 start having my favorite taufu. We have to practice table manners all the time.

But……..

Oh wait! NOOO!.O_o..My Taufu!..all gone!...I haven’t had a single piece yet! That’s my most favorite dish out of all we had ordered!

After having my meal…..I feel I had too much…*burp…. But everything just cost below RM300 for 24 people and our family paid for it. It is alright to everybody else…but I still haven’t had my Taufu yet!

Had a nice photography session…. (As usual -_- )

And we have to go back to grandma house for the birthday cake. My youngest uncle will be the one responsible to buy the birthday cake. Late comers buy the cake! :-P

~9pm….Everybody was at Grandma home…waiting for the cake. Yup the “cake buyer” is always late :-P (just kidding hehe). The cake had arrives, ready to blow the cake. But here comes my Dad (sporting mind) who requested my grandpa (81 years old, 82 in Chinese age) to hold my grandma hand and do it together. (Old generation doesn’t seem like holding hands….Billy Da GREAT doesn’t mind to hold any opposite gender hands if he is allow to.… I mean it is very normal right?) But in the end both my grandpa and grandma still have to hold their hand(because of my dad :-P)

And then everybody start singing birthday song.

Photography session……….

Once we done……it is time to have the cake….but most of my seniors even me and some cousins refuse to take the cake….it seems that we had too much at the vegetarian restaurant just now….or is it because cakes contains a lot of fats :-P …….

Then we have our chit chat together….my eldest cousin start playing O2JAM + other games…he play it to entertaint the younger ones :-D

I myself prefer to join the seniors (my uncles/aunty) to chit chat :-D. It was very enjoyable to chat with them; I like to mix with senior people. Especially one of my uncle who like to talk about political issues, corruptions…ways of people deal business and many more interesting stuff.

~10pm….. angpow time! Happy Grandma start giving angpow to everybody. Oh thanks you …money comes! A compensation of what I had lost just now …my Taufu! Billy “Da Great” quickly go and grab his angpow from grandmama… it is a RM5 angpow (Sorry, I couldn’t resist myself from opening it on the spot :-P)….RM5 is better than nothing…a compensation of my lost Taufu!…but then Billy didn’t know the first few angpows do not have lottery. (I suspect Grandma probably do not buy enough of them).

Oh Sh*t…..I SHOULDn’t be the first guy to get the angpow!!!! *^$#@&!! Now I had lost my chances to win lottery. (Seeing some others got another RM6 T_T) And what else I can claim for my lottery lost!!!...Nothing!! T_T

~11pm..everybody is tired…..it is time to go home….

End of story….

Post ur comment ….my blog is open to everybody ….feel free to drop by :-)
